Many people keep a false idea that one can win the Kerala PSC exams by reading any PSC rank file just before the exam. But it is foolishness.

Kerala PSC invites extra talented, hardworking and brilliant candidates to the government sector. You must expect the toughest questions in the PSC question paper. Their answers will reach you to the highest rank in the ranklist.

If you are a master in Science, there are confusing questions from history to trap you. If you can handle both those subjects, there are English/ Malayalam grammar questions to create a perplexity.
So, to make a success in KPSC exam one should cover all the corners of the syllabus that would publish in PSC website.

Kerala PSC always likes to ask the questions about Kerala Renaissance. They would asked by PSC in the exams of peon to deputy collector. PSC's rules and interests are to avoid the candidates who have no idea about the Kerala facts. Now PSC makes a habit of asking these types GK questions in exams for technical posts also.

1) Make friendship with the PSC syllabus:

2) Reach on Time in PSC Exam Hall:

KPSC is very strict about the time. All the candidates should be present in the examination hall, half an hour before the exam starting time. Commonly the morning session tests will start at 8.00 am and that of afternoon session at 2.00 pm. The late comers will not permit to attend the test. 

3) KPSC Negative Marking System:

The candidates have to be aware about the negative marking system of KPSC Exams. This is applicable for all the KPSC OMR tests. If you bubble a wrong answer, it will cause the loss of mark for right answer also. The minus mark will be 1/3. You will lose 3+1 marks (4 marks) for 3 wrong answers. So don't try to guess the unknown answers and save yourself from the negative mark.

4) KPSC will avoid the Invalid Answer sheets:

If there is any problem with your bubbling of the register number, date of birth, date of exam, tearing of answer sheet across the barcode..., your answer sheet will make invalid by the PSC. Even you got 100/100 marks, you will not get a chance to enter into the rank list. 

Tips to avoid the invalid answers:
  • Bubble and write the register number.
  • Put signature near to your name in the address sheet that would given by the invigilator in the exam hall.
  • Tear the 2 parts (A and B parts) of the answer sheet with care. At the centre of these two parts, there is a barcode. Don't write, label, or draw anything on the barcode with pen.
5) Right to Complaint Against the KPSC Answer KEY:

Kerala PSC will publish the answer key of each test within some days after the exam in PSC website. Candidates can check their answers with this and if there are any wrong answers in the answer key, they have the right to send a complaint to the Comptroller of the Examination in a particular format. This format is available in PSC website. The final answer key will publish by PSC only after these complaints. 

6) Kerala PSC Interview Details:

Kerala PSC conducts the interview for certain posts besides the written test. The interview board would consist of two PSC members and subject experts. The chairman of the board will be the senior PSC member. The mark for interview will be 20% of the written test score. Usually the marks for written test and interview of KPSC are 100 and 20 respectively. 

The minimum mark to pass the interview is 4. All the interviewed candidates who got 4 and above marks will include in the rank list on the basis of the aggregate mark.

Hai Sajeev, we cant predict your chance to get the job.The expected cut off of sec assistant is 62- 65 range. there is chance to include more candidates in this list if there is positive decision to appoint university assistants from the same list. then you will get more chance.
