Secretariat Assistant 2014 Notification On December 31

Kerala PSC will unveil the new notification of Secretariat Assistant on December 31, 2014. The exam will held within 6 months- may be in June, 2015. The new rank list based on this test will publish in 2016 April 8. Secretariat Assistant Notification 2014:   


PSC will publish the new notification for receiving the applications for the posts of Secretariat Assistant on 2014 December 31.

Qualification to apply for the post:


The candidates should pass any Bachelor's Degree like BA, B.Sc, B.Com....

KPSC had informed earlier that the qualification to apply for the secretariat assistant exam will include an additional qualification -DCA.
But this time also there is no need of DCA. There is no mark bar in the degree examination.

Age bar to become a Secretariat Assistant in Kerala:

18- 36 years. The candidates should born in between 2-1-1978 and 1-1-1996

Applications for Secretariat Assistant Exam:

Authority hopes more than 4 lakhs applications this time. Previous time it was 3, 81, 835. The 2616 candidates were applied for by transfer exam. 3, 79, 219 were for direct recruitment.

New rank List of Secretariat Assistant Will Be On April 8, 2016:

Kerala Public Service Commission will publish the latest rank list of Assistant in Secretariat on 2016 April 8. The validity of the present rank list of this post will complete on that date. PSC planned the selection procedure to publish the new rank list on the same day on which the present list completes its validity. On April 8 of 2016 this list will complete 3 years.

Secretariat Assistant Examination 2015:

PSC decided to conduct next exam of Secretariat Assistant within 6 months of notification from the notification date. KPSC published the examination calendars till 2015 February. In March there is SSLC exam. So there will be no chance for the big exams like Secretariat Assistant. If it does so there will be a tight for examination centers. The teachers will not be available in the summer vacation- April and May 2015. So the exam will not be in the vacation time. So the high possibility is in 2015 June. But there is also a chance for conducting the test earlier on a suitable day.

Secretariat Assistant Syllabus with 10 parts:

Kerala PSC had modified the Assistant syllabus on previous time. So no chance for further modification in this time. The main topic in the question paper is Renaissance of  Kerala.

History of Selection for Secretariat Assistant:

The present assistant rank list was published by KPSC in record speed- within 8 months after exam. There were preliminary and main exams for the secretariat assistant examination in the earlier days. But from the previous time there was only one objective type test. There was no interview also. The existing rank list was published on the basis of that test.

Secretariat Assistant in Kerala government Salary Scale 25,187 RS:

The basic scale of pay of Assistant/auditor in Kerala Secretariat is 13, 900 to 24.040 Rs. There are 73% DA (10147 Rs), 240 Rs HRI and 300 Rs CCA with the basic scale. Total salary is 25,187 at starting.

Kerala PSC Advice Memo

The advice memo for appointment means the process of advising a rank holder who has a rank in the PSC list to a reported vacancy to KPSC. This advising process is according to the KS and SSR - 14 to 17 acts. Before sending the advice memos PSC would estimate the reported vacancies from various departments for a particular posts. If there are 20 vacancies it will make into a unit of 20. From those 20 vacancies 10 will go for OC (open competition) and next 10 for BC (backward class). If the number of vacancies is below 20, 50% of the number will go for the OC candidates and other 50% will be for the reserved candidates. One Time Registration: Doubts and Answers

Kerala PSC introduced One time registration process in 2012. All the candidates can write a PSC examination only after completing the one time registration. After the successful completion of the registration through the PSC website the candidates would get a user ID and pass word. We can make our own password and User ID. By using these one can enter into his profile in the Kerala PSC site and know about the notifications, announcements, probability list, short list ....The candidates can submit their online application for different PSC tests through this profile. We can download PSC hall tickets from this profile. While the online registration one should enter his personal details, contact information, qualifications, experience details in the profile.
