Fireman Advice Memo: Last Certificate Verification On Feb 18, 2015

KPSC will recognize fireman rank list within February 20, 2015. Commission suggested starting
the advising in this month. The one time verification process for 43 ranked candidates will be conduct on February 18. The advice will get only to the candidates who will submit their certificate on time.

There are 1200 fireman vacancies reported to PSC. Among them, 259 are NJD vacancies. PSC is preparing advice memos to these vacancies, at Kollam regional office. 

The candidates are in high tension due to the lack of reporting of complete vacancies and the delay of appointment. PSC also expects many NJD vacancies from first stage of advice. These vacancies should be report by the department for getting job for all the ranked candidates in the list.

The fireman new notification will publish by PSC in June 2015. Its new rank list will publish in 2016 June. There is a complaint about the size of present fireman rank list. It is a list of 2000 candidates for 1200 vacancies. It was published on December 30, 2014. The main list contains 1478 people. Supplementary list has 576 candidates.

Kerala PSC Advice Memo

The advice memo for appointment means the process of advising a rank holder who has a rank in the PSC list to a reported vacancy to KPSC. This advising process is according to the KS and SSR - 14 to 17 acts. Before sending the advice memos PSC would estimate the reported vacancies from various departments for a particular posts. If there are 20 vacancies it will make into a unit of 20. From those 20 vacancies 10 will go for OC (open competition) and next 10 for BC (backward class). If the number of vacancies is below 20, 50% of the number will go for the OC candidates and other 50% will be for the reserved candidates.
